Leaf base is deep brown colour, green upper leaves.  The flower scape is quite short, red and yellow bracts with violet petals.  Grows in forests so thrives in heat and humidity filtered to bright light.  Produces pups on stolons at the base.  Grows relatively easily and a very attractive plant.
